Chuck Mintz is a photographer living in Cleveland OH.

Chuck was always interested in photography. Everything changed at a one week class at Maine Photographic Workshop in 1979. Freeman Patterson, the Canadian photographer of the land was a transformational teacher. At the end of the week, everything changed for Chuck. He gave up his many hobbies, and committed to do photography a few hours every week. In 2007, he became full time.

Chuck’s work is primarily documentary, built around ideas that are interesting and important to him.

Two of his projects are in the permanent collection of The Smithsonian’s Museum of American history. He is fortunate enough to have his photographs, books and short films included in the collections of museums, other institutions, and private collections around the world.
