April, May 2010 in New Orleans
This is work from one of my latest projects, "The End of the Carbon Economy". It features images of the electrical grid addressing the question revolutions in technology. Specifically here the question whether the change away from traditional energy sources will be driven by how the power is distributed or how it might be generated. This is parallel to the question of whether the great impact in digital photography is not the cameras but the way images are distributed and viewed.

23 Sandy Gallery in Portland OR and Wall Space in Seattle WA
New Directions
January 2010 in Seattle, February 2010 in Portland
Theme of the show was "Down and Out" - looking for new perspectives. Met a lot of great people at the reception in Portland. My pieces were work looking down at Ground Zero in New York. The juror mentioned one of my pieces in her statement and gave it a Merit Award. Her statement and images from the show can be found on the 23Sandy website. The other piece was shown in the portlandart.net blog.

1point618 Gallery
"The Album Project"
June 5, 2009 through August 8. 2009
The opening was terrific - my thanks to all who made it possible and all who attended. When we set the show up, it seemed in the distant future. These are large (24x64) prints featuring images of my son holding the picture albums he made over a 20 year period. It is about communication with the constrained vocabulary of an adult with autism. Isaac will be at the opening with his Polaroid. Perhaps a last hurrah for the Polaroid.

Alhough my "!0000 Tinkles" series is desgined to be displayed at ceramic tiles, I could not resist the idea of postcards of places sublime (e.g. The Akron Art Museum or the High Museum in Atlanta) having their men's rooms featured on postcards.

86th Annual Spring Show
April 18, 2009 through June 14, 2009
After years of trying to get into this show, I had one piece last year and two this year. Both are from a series of images behind fences that grew out of my booths project. Sort of like zoos going from cages to habitats. I will be at the opening on April 18 and would love to share a piece of cheese with anyone that can make it.
